Moments are fast approaching for Metavers these days, but it’s worth stopping for one of those moments that happened on Friday on the New York Nasdaq Stock Exchange.

I was there to see Metavars Maven Kathy Heckle and the team at Journey ring the opening bell for the exchange at the formal celebration of Metavars.

Hackel is known as the “Godmother of the Metavers” and she sold her consultancy to Futures Intelligence Group Journey, a Metavers agency that helps brands create things for the digital world. Journey teamed up with Manticore Games to create a Nasdaq experience within the core virtual realm. And the Nasdaq played animation from the core while Heckel was talking in front of the opening bell.

Kathy Heckle is the Chief Metavers Officer of Journey.

Heckle gathered a number of people on stage from Journey, as well as a variety of women who are part of the brand targeting Metavers. It was an interesting moment to watch, and CNBC aired the segment for two minutes, which is very rare for such a broadcast of the opening bell.

“I am just thrilled to be here. Today, as hundreds or thousands of people begin to land in New York for NFT NYC, I can’t help but feel that a creative renaissance is upon us and what we create is more important than ever, “Heckley said. As the co-founder of Journey, I’m not the typical face you see when you think of technology. That’s why it’s important for everyone to know that this future is for all of us. Let’s make it. “

Heckley added, “As you know, we are announcing our Metavers Studio today. We are a group of passionate game developers, futurists, technologists and strategists who have come together to help brands navigate metaways. I want to tell you in Metawares, we are all world makers and this is our time to build and now. “

The bell rang ahead of this week’s NFT NYC event in both the physical world as well as in Metawors, Heckley noted in her brief.

Journey across a number of platforms including Roblox, Fortnite Creative, Decentraland, the Sandbox, Rec Room, VR Chat, Horizon and more is one of a number of companies creating experiences for some of the world’s biggest brands. The journey is led by Andrew Zimmermann, former CEO of Frog Design. Supporters of the journey include private equity firm Growth Catalyst Partners.

Zimmerman was on hand for the moment, as was Jordan Edelstein, head of business development at the Menticor Games.

The group cheered loudly as the bell countdown to zero was zero. Everyone had the opportunity to take pictures on stage, including a group of women assembled for a moment by Heckley. Heckle signed the document stating that she had in fact rang the opening bell or something like that. They then went out to see their faces on the big screen in Times Square.
