Arcion Cloud improves database replication with Databricks, Snowflake

Arcion, which helps businesses copy data from product databases so they can be used for analysis on warehousing platforms such as Databrix and Snowflake, today launched Arcion Cloud, a managed data replication service that Arsયનne says “without a single line of code.” Working.

Last month, Archie raised a $ 13 million Series A round for its replica service. It comes at a time when enterprises are increasingly needing to copy data from product databases such as Oracle and MySQL to perform sophisticated analysis of data, including running it through powerful applications like AI. In September, data integration giant FiveTra acquired HVR, which specializes in data replication, and raised $ 565 million on a 5.6 billion valuation.

Like HVR, Arcion uses an item called “Change Data Capture” (CDC), which allows businesses to copy data in real time. CDC refers to identifying changes to source data and then simply synchronizing these changes for replication, thus improving efficiency. Another competitive replication service is Oracle Golden Gate, which is best used to replicate Oracle data from Oracle.

Today’s Arcan Cloud Release is the first fully-fledged CDC data replica as a service that enables enterprises to deploy high-performance, high-volume data pipelines in minutes, rather than months, the company said in a press release. The company added that, with just a few clicks, the platform offers interoperability for popular database technology, including initially three sources, Oracle, MySQL and Snowflake, and three targets, Databricks, Snowflake and SingleStore.

When the API is used to connect SaaS tools, the data contained in the transactional enterprise database is largely locked up by design to ensure performance and security. This has made enterprise data extraction a time-consuming, resource-intensive task – resulting in slower analysis and unsustainable costs given the increasing scale of real-time data.

The company said that Arcion Cloud is available on AWS USA and will support Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud by the end of 2022.
