The Dead Space remake is coming out on January 27th. The developer today confirmed the release time during Dave Stream. The game reboots the Dead Space franchise while building on the bones of older games.

Publisher Electronic Arts was once internally planning to launch a Dead Space remake in October. But the development team decided to take a few more months. At the same time, EA has not been advancing the game since its fiscal year.

During its earnings report earlier this week, EA confirmed that it will have a “remake” during fiscal Q4 ending March 2023. But the company also plans to launch a “major IP” during that quarter. The game is Star Wars JD: Survivor, a sequel to Fallen Order, according to multiple people familiar with EA’s plans.

It makes sense to launch both games before the end of its fiscal year as the company does not have many new games for the rest of the calendar 2022.

Purpose is also planning to release a gameplay in October.
