Capcom and Hideaki Itsuno have confirmed in livestream that Dragon’s Dogma 2 is in development. During the 10th anniversary of the first game, the developer announced that a sequel was coming.
Livestream was mostly a love letter for the development of the first game and the developer’s interest in creating a fantasy game that was different from others in the market. Itsuno also talked about his history with Capcom. At the very end of the stream, he unzipped his hoodie to reveal the Dragon’s Dogma 2 T-shirt and confirmed that the game was in the works.
We have no other data on the game at the moment. The splash screen at the end of the stream said that it wants to rate M17 + by ESRB, but other than that, we have no details to go. Rumors about the development of the game have been circulating for years, but now at least we know for sure that it is happening.
