Electronic Arts unveils mobile game The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth

Electronic Arts has announced that it is working on a free-to-play mobile game dubbed The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth.

EA is developing the game under the license of Middle-Earth Enterprise, a division of the Saul Zentz Company, which has exclusive worldwide rights to motion picture, merchandising, stage and other rights in some of JRR Tolkien’s literary works, including The Lord. Rings and The Hobbit from the 1970s.

The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-Earth will be an integrated role-playing game (RPG) that brings the idea and adventure of The Lord of the Rings to current fans and new audiences in a strategic, socially-competitive experience.
