Tommy Tallarico, founder of Intellivision Entertainment, has resigned as CEO and will be replaced by former Chief Revenue Officer Phil Adam. But Tallariko will remain on the board and serve as president of the company.
That sounds like a big change Three times delayed Retro Console, Intelligence Amico. But Tallarico, who started the company in 2018, told Gamesbeat that he and Adam would continue to make important decisions together.
“We make decisions together,” Tallariko said. “But he can make administrative decisions without me. And I have 100% confidence in him.”
Adam is a 30-year-old game industry executive, and he said in a statement that Tallariko felt he needed to focus on the roles he loved the most. Tallariko also said the company plans to raise more money.

Amico was originally scheduled to release in October 2020, but was later delayed until 2021 due to epidemiological shortages. The company then aimed to roll out the machine by the end of 2021, but that time came and went without a launch. And Tallarico has been at loggerheads with a variety of critics on social media.
At the time of the first delay, Tallarico said the company was “facing a component crisis and shipping is extremely challenging.”
Tallarico said it was “important for a growing company to show it’s not just about one person.”
He said, “I decided to raise him. I needed help and wanted to do what I loved doing the most. Tallariko said his focus is on the constructive side.
The original Intelligence is a metal game console that gave Atari a run for its money in the early 1980’s. That balcony was more advanced than the 2600, with better graphics, and even simpler sounds in some games.
Tallarico has been in the video game industry for 32 years and he created the “oof” sound which became the signature sound for Roblox Games. Tallarico, creator of the Video Games Live concert series, announced in 2018 that it had acquired the rights to the console and its original games and planned to relaunch Intelligence as a retro brand.
