Irreverent Labs has raised 40 million to further accelerate its efforts to create MechaFightClub, a robot coke fighting game that uses non-fungic tokens (NFTs).

Created by Rahul Sood, founder of Voodoo PC, the Seattle-based blockchain game company recently unveiled its first game: MechaFightClub. The characters are mechanically-looking roosters reminiscent of cockfighting, but Sood treats them as hilarious individuals in the game of cruelty-free combat.

The funding was disclosed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. No other details were given. We’ll talk more about this later.

Meanwhile, Unpleasant Labs previously told us that MechaFightClub’s chickens are macabots with NFTs, which use blockchain to test the uniqueness of each chicken. The title is a “play-to-earn” game, where players can take ownership of the characters they buy and make a profit from them, if they are equal then they can resell them to someone else.

The game is set in a dystopian future dominated by extraterrestrial macabots. While global resistance hacks the remaining 41,000 chicken-shaped macabots, these weapons of war are publicly redistributed as “weapons of mass entertainment.”

It happened in 2065 when the outside world made their first contact with the earth. They believed that humanity would eventually qualify to join the galactic interstellar race. And then the aliens realized that they were overemphasizing humanity. They left, and left the earth. But they left behind some technology to figure out for humans.

“It’s like Free cow Where they are artificially intelligent non-player characters (NPCs), “Sood said in an earlier interview.

Unpleasant games
Irreverent Games has Macs like Lemonade Rooster.

Sood thinks of MechaFightClub as Mortal Kombat meets Gundam Wing with an unpleasant sensitivity to South Park.

MFC players will collect, train and battle combat robots in a futuristic, mixed martial arts-inspired experience. Sood said each Machabot develops unique combat styles, abilities and preferences throughout its life, using machine learning to give each NFT a living personality on and off the battlefield.

“For me, it’s very interesting that artificially intelligent entertainment is created,” he said. “I think that’s where gaming goes. And yet no one else has done this. We will be the first to do that. “

It’s a bit of a crazy idea. But the company has 20 people, including a small design team from Seattle and developers in Ukraine. Irreverent Labs had previously raised 5 million.

“There’s a reason why we call ourselves unpleasant labs,” Sood said. “We don’t want people to take us seriously and offend us for what we are doing. We want people to have a sense of humor.”

The combination of advanced AI personality, viewer options and Kaiju-inspired 3D art will make MechaFightClub the largest fighting club in Metawors, Sood said.

This is an interesting switch for the creator of Microsoft Ventures, founder of Voodoo PC (acquired by HP) and esports gambling firm Unikrn (acquired by Entain).

Sood said the game is built on blockchain because it is a stored game in its origins. This game looks like Warhammer or Heroclix, where you have the main way to interact with the game economy.
Fighter (or Machabot) storage and customization.

However, unlike traditional archive games, each aggregation in MFC is quite unique. They are quite unique not only because of their model and the content of the related metadata, but also because each macabot has an individual artificial intelligence that has millions of personal experiences that are unique to that machabot, and the machabot has learned from each of those unique ones. Experiences also have their own simulated genetic code.

The purpose of NFT is that no two versions of those tokens are identical. These characters can be uniquely identified. This is important because MFC macabots will be so artificially intelligent, genetically so rich, so individualistic that they will be more like living, breathing creatures, Sood said.

Blockchain means that players can trust that the company is building what it says and allows players to take personal ownership of their Machabot and use it as they wish, including in sales, stacking or other blockchain applications. Include, Sood said.

Irreverent Labs is working with Solana Blockchain, which has an ecosystem that is popular in sports and processes transactions quickly.

One of his co-founders is David Rascino, who worked with Sood at Microsoft Ventures. Rascino brought some AI skills to the field dubbed agent simulation. It is the base of the AI brain of chickens. The game is being made in 3D in Unity. The game brings together the leveling of stud, arena fighting, AI and mechanics.
