Kaser Focus: Let me Sora her

GamesBeat Summit 2022 returns April 26-28 with its biggest event for gaming leaders. Reserve your place here!

As a person trending with the urgency of a quiet brood sow from the Alden Ring, I’m fascinated by the growing legend of “Let Me Solo Her”. If you haven’t heard, this is obviously the Alden ring player who willingly faces the game’s most challenging boss, Melania, on behalf of other players. The idea that someone wants to train this game heavily for me, no questions asked, no strings attached, makes me both excited and skeptical. How do you call this Good Samaritan – figuratively and literally? Of course, for research purposes.

Anyway, the big news this week really happened last weekend, when Square Enix officially announced Kingdom Hearts 4. I’m not a KH lover like Mike Minotti – I’d say I’m dying for the series to finally bring Sora, Donald, and the stupid MCU. Heck, Mike’s suggestion that they bring Thor is inspired. Of all the MCU artists who might be willing to give their voice in a video game, I imagine Chris Hemsworth will be at the top of the list.

Other than that, it’s been a quiet week! Now that we’ve got all the March games, things are kind of off. I have one more review left, then I’m at a loss for a few months from now. I guess I’ll start on my backlog. There are some balance issues in 2022, obviously.

In other news, our own Gamesbeat Summit is approaching, and we have Reggie Phils-Aim and many, many others choosing to speak! I’ll talk a little bit, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there!
