Details about Oppo’s upcoming flagship are starting to gather. Multiple leaks indicate that it will be called the Find X5 Pro, with the same design and specs as last year’s Find X3 Pro, widely compatible with the new OnePlus 10 Pro, now available in China. (OnePlus is now, of course, considered the Oppo sub-brand.
The Find X3 Pro did not sell in the US, but it did arrive in Europe and was one of the best phones of 2021. Rendering recently released by OnLeaks shows a device with a camera hump flowing in the back. Like the Find X3 Pro, however, the camera setup has changed and does not include the previous phone’s unique ring light accretion, which includes a ‘microscope’ camera.
Allegedly actual photos confirming the OnLeaks renders have also surfaced online now, featuring a white Hazelblade branded model of the phone, similar to the recent OnePlus flagships. There’s also a photo of the device’s settings menu, stating that it features Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 like the OnePlus 10 Pro, as well as Oppo’s own new chip, the MariSilicon X. This is an NPU used for image processing. It was announced late last year with Oppo’s Air Glass AR device.
There are other specs circulating on Chinese social media channels that can’t be verified but don’t look as surprising as the OnePlus 10 Pro. Both of Oppo’s previous Find X flagships were announced in March, for which we will get the official details soon.
