The AirPods 3 are the third version of Apple’s AirPods. The new wireless earphones feature Spacial Audio, as you might anticipate. Adaptive EQ, a longer battery life, and a new price tag are also included.
Fans of the AirPods will quickly recognise the new AirPods 3’s redesigned look. The third generation AirPods have a more curved form than the second generation AirPods, and they resemble the AirPods Pro more than the second generation AirPods. Aside from the aesthetics, Apple has changed the drivers, which should result in improved sound.
The support for 3D Audio, which simulates spatial sound in conjunction with the wearer’s head motions, is absolutely fascinating about the sound. Previously, only the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max could use this feature. The Adaptive Equalizer is also included, which employs a microphone to tailor the music to the fit of the AirPods 3 in the wearer’s ear.
The battery life has been extended as a result of the improvements. The in-ears should now last six hours after being charged. The charging case supports wireless charging, including MagSafe, and provides enough capacity to charge your phone for five full charges.
The new AirPods 3 also support the AAC-ELD codec, which is touted to maintain great audio quality even at low bitrates. The initial audio sample has already piqued our interest, and we’ll share it with you in a NextPit review.
In several regions, the updated 3rd generation AirPods will be available starting Tuesday, October 26. Pre-orders are now available. $179 is the suggested retail price. The second-generation AirPods are still available for $129.
