The second month, another flood of fantastic, wonderful and beautiful images generated by artificial intelligence. In April, OpenAI unveiled its new image-building neural network, the DALL-E 2, which can produce remarkably high-resolution images of almost anything it asks for.
Now, a few weeks later, Google Brain has unveiled its own image-creating AI, called Imagen. And it performs even better than the DALL-E2: it scores higher on standard criteria for rating the quality of computer-generated images, and the images it created were selected by a group of human judges.
But just as OpenAI did with DALL-E, Google is moving on to beauty. Both generations promote their equipment with a series of pictures of anthropomorphic animals rather than beautiful objects: a vague panda dressed as a chef, a dough chef, a corgi sitting in a sushi house, a teddy bear swimming 400m butterfly at the Olympics and.
This cuteness hides a dark side of these tools, which people cannot see because it will reveal the ugly truth about how it is made. Read the full story અને and see more pictures created by Imagen અહીં here.
